Kids In Need Teacher Grants
K-12 educators are invited to apply for grants of $100-$500 to be used for creative classroom projects. This year all teachers that apply will receive a special gift of poster making and bulletin board supplies. CFBF Photo Contest Deadline
Aspiring photographers ages 13 and under, whose parent is a Farm Bureau member, are invited to enter the CA Farm Bureau Federation photo contest in the Budding Artist category. First place receives $250, second place receives $100. Ten entrants will receive a copy of the latest Imagine this... book. Enter to Win a School-wide Assembly from the 2010 Presidential Turkeys!

Students will meet the 2010 presidential turkey candidates and learn about the historical significance of this American tradition. Ira Brister and Yubert Envia will teach students about the process of raising turkeys. *Teachers and administrators who enter to win must be able to provide an assembly setting for their school. Deadline for Imagine this... Story Writing Contest (3-8 grade students)
Don't be limited by the traditional "what I did this summer" essay as we go back to school. Meet standards for reading and writing with the Imagine this... Story Writing Contest and the rewards for both teacher and student are numerous. Regional winners are recognized with a plaque and literature about agriculture. State winners receive an expense-paid trip to Sacramento where they will receive a medal and $100 savings bond at the awards ceremony.
